- A man - bitten by a spider. turned green with yellow blotches and died.

- Wally Sluvver - three years of tutorials post mortem. (pg 33)
- Senior Wrangler's aunt - a pineapple got her. She was told that wasn't the way you're supposed to eat them. (pg 46)
- Senior Wrangler's uncle - a crate of prawns dropped off a crane onto his head. (pg 47)
- Mustrum Ridcully's grandfather died at a result of a snakebite after unwisely shouting at said snake. (pg 99)
- Larrikin Larry - was hanged. they had to search the roof all arvo to find his head. (pg 188)
- Tinhead Ned was also mentioned as being hanged in the same town as Larrikin Larry (pg 188)
- A man - Death was due to meet him inside a crocodile. (pg 190)
- 'Rubber' Houser - was propelled backwards out of a fourth-floor window by the pent up force of his experimental 256-line machine. (pg 236)
Might have died
- Strewth - dug up luggage. His hat went flying into the air then Luggage emerged. He may have been eaten. (pg 30)
- The Egregious Professor of Cruel and Unusual Geography - may have been
eaten by a dinosaur. (pgs 79,84)
- Mr Whitlow - he's assumed to be dead. (pg 165)
Death toll?
- The remains of an expedition to find the Lost Reading Room were found.(pg 24)
- Rincewind had eaten things with more eyeballs than the Watch had found after that business with Medley the Medical Kleptomaniac. It's likely
that at least some of the people who supplied the eyeballs are dead.

- Road gang chasing Mad and Rincewind. Leader shot one of his men when he
got bitten by a spider. This caused a multiple cart pileup. Rincewind
asked what he was to do with the bodies indicating more than one death.

- Followers of the god of evolution were slaughtered by the followers of
the god in the next valley. (pg 123)
- The city of Quint. The god was having one of those days. It was mostly
made of mud. Afterwards it was mainly ceramics. (pg 163-164)
- Death has an appointment in the city. There was a fight over the last
bottle of beer. (pg 268)
